Its Begining to look alot like Christmas......

Well, its almost Dec. 1st.... can you believe it? Where did 2008 go? I just can't believe we are almost into 2009. I have just gotten used to writing 2008! ha ha

This past weekend was absolutly wonderful sharing thanksgiving with our families and friends!

Kaylee got to meet her new baby cousin for the first time on Thanksgiving day- what a wonderful experience that was. She LOOOVES Carley and immediatly asked Aunt Sally if she could hold the baby. So cute....

Baby Carley- 3 weeks old. This was also Kaylee's Thanksgiving outfit....

We had a great time with both sides of the family ...... and it was a wonderful relaxing time eating LOTS and lots of food!!! We took a few family pictures this weekend too, which was an adventure trying to get a 2 yr old to sit/stand still long enough to take a good 'maternity' shot. . . here are a few of my favorite...

Over the weekend we decided to get in the Christmas spirit and put up decor, at least on the inside (the rain deteered the outside decor). . . however its begining to look like christmas on the inside. We will be getting a big tree soon and then it will really look like Christmas here!
We are also proud to say that we are only one gift away from being done shopping for presents!!

For an update- I go back to the Dr. Tuesday- Hopefully Micheal has decided to flip for me.... we'll see!

And yes, we are still in the middle of the throws of potty training... oh the joys!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
We have so much to be thankful for here in the Purvis household. This last year has held alot of changes and blessings for us as a family. We were able to sell our house in this crazy market in less than a week (for full asking price!) and move into a house we never could have afforded except by the grace of God. Kaylee and I were spared in a horrible accident and I was blessed with a awesome (new to me) SUV out of the deal. I was blessed to get connected at Gainesville State college in Athens to start teaching there parttime in the evenings- and.. most of all- we are blessed to be expecting our second child- Michael in just about 8 weeks.

I can't believe what God has done for us this year- knowing we've done nothing to deserve it- but we are forever Grateful for it. God is soo good and faithful! We praise Him every day for all that He has done.

I pray that today you all have a wonderful time with family, friends and loved ones and remember everything you have to be thankful for- and give the One THANKS who deserves it today.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

10 weeks and counting...

Yes, we have arrived at the 10 week to go mark! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone and how close we are too meeting Michael!
I had my 30wk appt this morning, and both mommy and baby are doing well. Michael is still breech but I was assured (again) that he still has plenty of time to flip, so we are praying hard that he does, but no matter what, we just want him healthy and happy. I go every 2 weeks now, and on Dec. 16th we will get our last ultrasound and final pictures of our little guy before he is in our arms forever! I can't wait. So many exciting things coming up in the next few weeks- Thanksgiving (WOW we have ALOT to be thankful for!), Christmas and then Michael's arrival!

Well that explains the pain........!

Well for the last 2 weeks I've been having ALOT of lower pelvic pain and pressure, well today I went to the dr to get it checked out, cause its gotten pretty hard for me to get around these days.

SO... after the Dr checked me over, it was determined that I was not being 'wimpy' this baby is very breech!! Not good....! However, my Dr assured me that I still have 10 weeks and that 90% of babies that are breech at this stage will turn before delivery. Although, he also said, that it will most likely get more uncomfortable as he turns..... OUCH......looks like I'll be living on tylenol!!

SO I write this blog asking for you to join with Chris and I in prayer that our little boy will cooperate and flip in the next few weeks. I am very thankful that our little one is doing well and is completly healthy and I know that no matter what, we are both in God's hands and that is comforting.

Stay tuned. I go back to the Dr again next Thursday.

oh the joys of potty training...........

So last week I bragged about how Kaylee was doing so well going to the potty..... well, that was last week. This week she seems too busy to want to potty. After 4 days of sitting but not really going on the potty- she finally seemed to get back into it today. .. however tomorrow is a new day!

She is definitly in throws of being a toddler. Between developing her own attitude, refusing pottying and getting up 15 times after we put her down for bed. . . . we are learing every day how to deal with a 2 yr old!

We shall see what this next week holds for us and Kaylee!
