Well, Kaylee started her new daycare today. Drop off was wonderful! It was super easy and very secure... you check in and out with a computer system and there is at least 2 ladies at the front desk to greet you and welcome you. They showed us to Kaylee's room... I didn't know what to expect.... but Kaylee was just in awe of the new enviroment. She OOHHHH and AWWWED at everything we walked past on the way to her room. When we arrived, we meet Keelan her teacher. A sweet lady who was feeding the kids that were already there. Cheerios, Bannanas and milk. Kaylee went to her new teacher just fine, and no crying. The director showed me where Kaylee's stuff would go, they already had her drawer marked with her name on it. Everything there was so organized and neat. I put away kaylee's stuff and said goodbye to her. She waved 'bye bye' to me as I left smiling and happy. I was so glad she did well.
This afternoon Chris picked her up and he said that all the teachers were amazed at how well she did on her first day. She did great, had fun, smiled, took a good nap and enjoyed her day. He said the teachers gave him a detailed note telling him everything she/they did today.
It was a great day! Kaylee came home happy and still full of energy!
We are so pleased with her new daycare so far. I know its only been a day, but so far it has been a great transition.

Update on Daycare situation

Well, as I wrote before Kaylee will be changing daycares. In fact, tomorrow is her last day at her current daycare as she will start Monday morning at her new one in athens.
We are very excited about it and glad it worked out so well!
I'll keep you updated on how the transistion goes but I am praying that it goes smoothly and she makes new friends quick and adjusts to her new teachers!

Helping mommy Garden
Last night after dinner we went outside to enjoy the benifits of daylight savings time!!! (yay!)
I decided it was time to 'tiddy' up my herb garden in the backyard, so I started triming some of them back and removing the leaves from around the herbs Kaylee decided she would help mommy out as well. It was so cute! She would come over and copy whatever I would do. She must have also thought that Dooley (our dog) needed some more leaves and garden dirt in his pen, cause she would grab a handful and take them over and drop them in his pen. It was so cute! Afterwards, we both smelled like a mixture of rosemary, pepermint and chives, but it was so much fun and so cute!!
My herb garden has been such a blessing, I love having fresh herbs and berries during the year! I already have a few strawberries already starting to put out and all my herbs except for my basil came back from last year! I can't wait to have another summer with fresh herbs and berries in my own back yard!! This year I am going to add Parsley to my herb garden, and get another basil plant. Last year I had two basil's but they just got so big I couldn't use them all!!
I didn't get any new pictures yesterday, but just had to share how my little girl loves to help mommy out... :)

A difficult yet important decision
For the last month or so we've been unahppy with kaylee's current daycare provider because of various situations that have come up..... so we've finally decided that although moving her to another one is going to cost us a good bit more (athens is higher than jefferson obviously!), it is overall worth it.
We found a great preschool that we are very excited about and signed Kaylee up Friday afternoon. Hopefully she will be starting there in the next week or so. We are very excited and anxious to get her in an enviroment where she is safer, and can learn and grow more.
More to come on this as it develops.

A beautiful spring day!
Yesterday afternoon it was so pretty outside that we let kaylee play in the backyard while we cooked on the grill. She had so much fun playing with the left over leaves in our yard, talking to dooley (our dog) and eventually found her way to dooley's water bucket which was a whole new world of fun for her! She laughed as she reached her arm through the pen into the bucket and splashe the dirty doggie water around. It was so fun to watch, of course I had to grab my camera!! here are a few pictures......

Adventures with Kaylee
Its so exciting to see Kaylee learning and understanding new things. She is finally starting to understand the concept of pointing at what she wants, or using her words to get something. . . like she will say 'cup' or 'shooe' when she wants those things now. And I love it when she says 'Thank uuuu" after I give her something... I hope these maners stay around for a long time!!
My little princess is definitly growing up!!!
