Kaylee's first sleep over!

Well- Kaylee had her first sleep over at a friends last night. She had a BLAST! She didn't have any problems being away from home and from the pictures the mom took, it looks like all the girls had a super time.

I can't believe my little girl is so grown up- but at the same time, it is so much fun to see her enjoy so many new things.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year we have so much to be thankful for in our family!
This is my first year with 2 wonderful children, being able to only work part time and stay home with the kiddos, starting my own 'small' buisness (Mary Kay, more to come on that in another post!) and our first full year in our new home. What a year 2009 has been!
I have learned so much this year about myself, raising a family and being a mom. I remember some days I felt like 'what am I doing?' and other days I was overwhelmed with joy and happiness in seeing my children playing or laughing, knowing I would get to see all of it- all day.
I've had to learn that I can't do it all on my own, no mater how hard I try, and that I have to rely more and more on God each day.
I'm also thankful for the blessing of my family. I could not be where I am without the love and support of my family, my blood family, and extended in-law family. I am so thankful everyday for the things my parents enstilled in me, and for the support they continue to give me.
I'm grateful for my wonderful husband who has taught me so much this year about myself and helped guide me through some hard times. I love you honey!!!
More than anything, I'm thankful to Jesus for dying to set me free, for teaching me how to love, give and have joy that passes all understanding.
I wish each of you a very happy thanksgiving and a wonderful begining to a great holiday season!

Time for Halloween!

Well, I have alot of catching up to do! October has been a SUPER busy month!

Everyone had GREAT birthday's this year! It was alot of fun getting together with our friends and family to celebrate. I already posted pictures of Chris and Mom's birthday parties. . . here are just a few from Kaylee's 3rd birthday.....

Last weekend at Kaylee's party Michael took his first unassisted step! It was quite exciting, yet sad too. Over the last week he has taken more and more steps and has even learned how to stand up with out 'pulling up'. Its so amazing to see him grow so fast, and I'm SO thankful I've been home this year to watch it all! Its been a huge blessing!

This past week I decided to take the plunge and join the Mary Kay team. I'm very excited about this new buisness adventure! If any of my blog readers would like to try some product, order something or host a party to earn FREE product... please let me know! I'd be happy to help you out (and appreciate the business!)

So now its Halloween! Kaylee has caught on to the whole "Candy and trick or treat' idea this year and she is REALLY enjoying it! ha ha

Here are a few pictures of the kids dressed up!

I'll try to do better at updating in the next month!

The month of Birthdays!

Well, October in our family is known for something more than pumpkins and costumes. . . its known as the "never ending birthday month!". We have a birthday every week. . no kidding. It starts off with Chris, then my mom's, then his mom's , then our daughter Kaylee and then just a week later on Nov. 5th. . . comes my niece!
So we are 'two down, two to go" in October (then my neice's Nov. 5th!).

And the first two for October this year were 'big' ones. .. Chris turned the big 3-0!! And I threw him a surprise party last Sunday afternoon at our house. Our Neighboors held out ALOT getting him to leave for a while and then he showed up and it was quite the surprise! We all had fun!
Here are a few pictures from that Party. The kids watching for Chris to come home. . .

Cake and the Decor, yes we used BLACK!! ha ha

Singing to Chris and blowing out the 'trick' candles. . ha ha

Then just yesterday, we had a suprise party for my mom who turned the big 6-0!

We held the party at her church and some of her church friends and other friends come over with the family. It was a super nice afternoon and so much fun pulling off these surprises!!

Here are some pictures from that one.
Mom arrived on her motorcycle

Everyone waiting for her to arrive

blowing out her candles, with Kaylee's help

Up next is Chris's mom's birthday and then our little 'fairy' Kaylee. She is turning 3 this year and having a tinkerbell party!! Then my niece will turn 1 on Nov. 5th!

Where did September go?

So I posted a "MIA" post last week and promised to get back with the details and Pics.... so here goes (I'm not even sure where to start!)
I have done alot more embroidery work over the last month. I'm getting better each time. Here is the my 'first' shirt for Michael. Kaylee has a matching one that has the pumpkin motief on it you'll see in later pictures. I can't wait to keep making more stuff!

September really flew by! Most of them month I was working to get adjusted to being back to work part time. My teaching job is two nights a week, but I have to work on prep stuff pretty much 4-5 days a week, so it has kept me pretty busy!

Here are some of the highlights from September . . .

We went to visit MeMe and Papa up at the campground and me, kaylee and papa hiked up to Anna Ruby Falls- it was a beautiful day for it!

Kaylee took her first Gymnastics class at School street gym in Watkinsville, she absolutly loved it! I can't wait to see how she does over the next few months there! Here is her first walk on the "balance beam!"

Michael is pretty much everywhere these days! He is begining to get very brave and is starting to climb!! I definitly have my hands full these days!!

We met up with my uncle and aunt down in Madison for the day. We walked downtown (which was beautiful!!) and then went to visit the Microcar Museum. I have never seen so many little cars! It was amazing!! I highly recommend you visiting it next time your down that way.

While we were in Madison I had to drive over to Rock Eagle to let my kids get their first 'look' at the place I spent so much of my youth at! Kaylee wasn't quite sure what to think of all those 'rocks' but it was fun for me!

Overall, was an amazing September. Fall is here (YAY!) and I can't wait for all we have planned in October, birthdays, pumpkin patch trips, fall crafts, leaves turning and did I mention birthdays? (We have 4 in October!) (Happy upcoming Birthday Chris, Meme, Nana, and my sweet little Kaylee who will turn 3!!!)
